Whether you are learning to ride or racing in the small-capacity CC learner class the KTM RC390 is a great choice. Or, it was. As the small-capacity learner class race series is gaining popularity worldwide manufactures are stepping up their game. KTM has just announced the limited edition RC390R which looks similar to the RC390, but includes the following updates;
- shorter intake funnels for a wider powerband
- fully-adjustable WP suspension in the front and rear
- adjustable top yoke and handlebar kit
- foldable CNC-milled levers
There will only be five hundred of the RC390R’s available for about $10,550. If that isn’t enough they are also producing a $13,650 version that is more in line with the World Superbike Supersport 300 category – the SSP300 kit. This SSSP300 kit comes with more than 230 upgraded parts, some of which include;
- lighter weight materials
- full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system
- STM slipper clutch
- quick shifter kit
- a race ECU
- spare wheels
- a new wiring harness
- a bigger radiator
- race bodywork kit
- and a handful of different gearing options
